 8.5" x 11"
Ink on Paper
"Fly on the Wall"

In the spirit of bordom and it being spring (which is when we get a fresh crop of flies in the country)  I decided to capture the essence of this little guy on my wall.... before I killed him with the swatter.  (not very fly friendly I guess...)  Well, anyway, here he is in all his glory, done with a tech pen, a fantastic piece of white paper and done in a crosshatch style.  Not for sale yet, but will be avaliable in prints soon!  Thanks for paying your respects.

 8" x 10" x .75"
Acrylic on Canvas
"Apple in Silver Bowl"

So I guess I was tired of being patient with oils and reverted back to acrylics for a few days; patience is tiring....  and although I do love the drying time for acrylics, I wasn't sure if the color would be as deep as oils.  I have to say, I am impressed with how bright the color actually came out!  Especially when you put a fabulous glossy coat of clear acrylic protection overtop of it; it just makes everything pop!
If your interested in purchasing something and can't find it in my Ebay shop, please feel free to email me; I would love to help!

So, shame on me. As I was going through my fruit selection the other day, trying to find that one perfect apple that would appear in my next still life painting debut, I kept pulling out all these apples that were either covered in bruises or lopsided. Apple after apple I piled on the counter, until near the bottom of the fridge drawer, I found it. That one perfect apple; beautiful, red, round, awsome! And as I began reloading all those bad, bruised apples back into the fridge, I actually began to feel a little guilty. Who am I to say who is perfect enough to be in the next painting? Aren't we all a little bruised? Brown? Wrinkely? Maybe all three? So I thought, why not? Give these old bruised fruits a time to shine! So amidst a haze of fruitflies and music they appeard on my next canvas, as a reminder to me. Beautiful, bruised and smelly.... "The Misfits".

"The weight of Clementines"
12" x 12" x .75"
SOLD

Well apparently I'm either really enjoying painting this old antique scale or my subconscious fear of weight is pouring out into my artwork? Hmmm. Swimsuit season is coming, and I did eat a Cadbury Egg tonight (which was awesome by the way)... oh well. If they don't love me for me, maybe they'll tolerate me for my clementines...
